The Rock Crushing, Jaw Dropping, 2020 Tremor Super Duty is Coming

Think the Super Duty couldn’t get anymore capable? Think again. The 2020 Tremor Off-Road package is coming soon, and it’s setting a new bar for capability off the road with upgraded hardware and advanced technology that give it incredible prowess over the toughest terrain. This lifted powerhouse provides greater towing and payload potential than the Ram Power Wagon — it’s the most capable off-road Super Duty ever.

“A growing number of Super Duty customers use their trucks for more than work. They’re fishing, camping and towing boats on weekends and they go off-road, so we designed this truck specifically for them – more ground clearance, bigger shocks, bigger tires and more off-road capability,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager. “Tremor balances what customers demand in terms of work with what they need in the great outdoors.”

This new package is incredibly capable, but really what did you expect from a Super Duty. Tremor delivers towing and payload ratings similar to non-Tremor models, but delivers off-roading capabilities that are miles ahead. When you drive Tremor you’re getting the best of both worlds. The package is available for XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum F-250s and F-350s.

The upgrades start with a set of aggressive 35-inch-diameter Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac maximum-traction tires — they’re the largest diameter tires available on any heavy-duty pickup, and they’re mounted on unique 18-inch matte-finished black wheels.

The capability of the tires combine with a 2-inch front-end lift and a shorter air dam resulting in an impressive 10.8 inches of ground clearance. That means you can enjoy the absolute best-in-class water fording of 33 inches and the best approach and departure angles of any Super Duty ever.

Locking rear differential, you say? Standard says Tremor. This differential is paired with electronic shift-on-the-fly engagement and a new Dana® limited-slip front differential. These hardware upgrades give Tremor models the power to sense when a tire has lost traction in certain modes and use the brakes to send power to the wheel with traction. Say goodbye to getting stuck.

There’s a lot more going on with the new Tremor package, and you can read all about it here in a release from Ford.
