It was recently reported that the Ford Motor Company was planning a Ford Bronco refresh for 2025, but that timing was revised for the sooner 2024 model year. This would create a three-year gap between the future Broncos and the incredibly popular 2021 and all-new 2022 Ford Broncos. Though plans for a Bronco pickup truck may be no more than a pipe dream, a years-from-now Bronco lineup is enticing considering how well current editions are selling.

Mid-cycle automotive refreshes take place about every 3-4 years, so waiting until 2024 wouldn’t prove unusual for the industry. But in the interim, Ford has produced a wide range of great new Bronco editions to get excited about. That’s including the recently shown, incredibly capable, and already high-performing Ford Bronco Raptor, which is scheduled to arrive on time for the 2022 model year.

The 2022 Bronco will also include the optional Sasquatch Package and 7-speed manual features for extra ruggedness and off-road control behind the wheel. 2022 Broncos also get a new durable and stylish front bumper, a roof rack specific to four-door editions equipped with the Sasquatch package, and a new model – potentially titled the Everglades – to further round out the upgrades and additions for the incoming model year. Lastly, the Bronco Wildtrak is scheduled to drop its standard MIC hardtop for a soft top roof.

Expanding the vehicle’s future timeline, the Bronco will shortly become available in greater parts of the world too, such as the Middle East and potentially Europe, though it likely won’t be purchasable with a right-hand drive design like in the west. Ford CEO Jim Farley also recently suggested that an all-electric Bronco might be shown in the not-so-distant future, which isn’t a big reveal given the fact that the automaker is leaning hard into investing in EVs with plans to eventually convert its entire North American lineup to electric power.
