Ford recently enhanced the new 2023 Escape lineup with an update that includes a stylish new ST-Line series, an optional 13.2-inch display with cloud-connected SYNC 4 Technology, and new advanced driver-assistance system features. The Ford Escape, which originally revealed the world’s first hybrid SUV back in 2005, delivers two new hybrid choices for 2023: a full hybrid and a Plug-In Hybrid model. All editions of the new Escape will be assembled at the Louisville Assembly Plant in Kentucky, available to order now, and will reach dealerships early in 2023.

The automaker’s new sporty ST-Line series, which comes in three models, improves the style of the Escape with athletic design choices. The ST-Line also provides a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine offering 180 hp with front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive, in addition to a hybrid model option with front-wheel drive as standard. The ST-Line Select and ST-Line Elite both give drivers an optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine that churns out 250hp and standard all-wheel drive, along with an available hybrid option for efficient performance wherever you travel.

Beyond the ST-Line models, the 2023 Escape lineup also includes Base, Escape Active, Platinum and Plug-in Hybrid vehicles. Escape Base and Active models give drivers that 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and Platinum models offer a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine fitted with all-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain option with front-wheel or all-wheel capability.

Each version of the 2023 Ford Escape SUV lineup is designed to meet an EPA-estimated range of at least 400 miles per tank. As the sole exception in the lineup, the full hybrid model with front-wheel-drive targets an EPA-estimated range of more than 550 miles.

Ford’s Escape Plug-In Hybrid model includes an innovative fourth-generation hybrid propulsion system, which features a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle hybrid engine and electronic continuously variable transmission for incredible efficiency. The front-wheel drive hybrid model is projected to produce a combined system of 210 hp.

The Escape’s new available amenities offer impressive features and luxury, like a 13.2-inch center-stack screen for easy viewing, and optional technologies like Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Predictive Speed Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Reverse Brake Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, Connected Built-In Navigation. Additional available amenities include a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel cluster, Rear Parking Sensors, 360-degree camera, and a wireless charging pad.
