Ford Mustang 60th Anniversary Package: Brittany Blue Returns

As the Ford Mustang celebrates its 60th anniversary, the iconic pony car is receiving a series of exclusive upgrades, including the reintroduction of the classic Brittany Blue paint color. First offered in 1967, Brittany Blue now joins the color lineup for the Mustang 60th Anniversary Package, bringing a touch of nostalgia to this limited-edition model. However, those eager to own one will need to act quickly, as this special edition is limited to just 1,965 units, a nod to the Mustang’s debut year in 1965.

Ford’s decision to bring back Brittany Blue alongside other colors like Wimbledon White, Race Red, and Vapor Blue underscores the Mustang’s long history of bold colors and distinctive designs. This rare offering allows Mustang enthusiasts to stand out even among the exclusive ranks of 60th Anniversary Mustang owners.

Those interested in acquiring the Brittany Blue Mustang can register their interest at Ford.com between August 16 and 19. Selected buyers will be notified by August 21 and will have just seven days to finalize their dealer selection and place an order. The 2025 Mustang 60th Anniversary Package is priced at $65,245, making this one of the few opportunities to own a piece of Mustang history before Brittany Blue is once again retired from the color palette.

The Brittany Blue edition is offered exclusively with the Fastback body style and a 10-speed automatic transmission. The package comes with a suite of performance and luxury features, including the 401A package, Active-Valve Performance Exhaust, Brembo brakes, a 3.55 limited-slip rear axle, a 12-speaker B&O sound system, and Space Gray upholstery. 

Ford has ensured that this Mustang stands out with more than just its paint color. The 60th Anniversary badges on the fenders and trunk lid are a modern take on the original 1965 Mustang cloisonné badges. The Mustang also features unique 20-inch wheels finished in Dark Gravity Gray with bright machined details, complemented by retro-themed aluminum center caps in Vermillion Red that echo the original 1965 Mustang design. Additionally, the car’s side graphics, reminiscent of the original rocker panel stripes, can be optioned in either Iconic Silver or Vermillion Red for added retro flair.

The grille of the Mustang also pays homage to the past with a unique mesh pattern and silver-accented nostrils that serve as functional air intakes for the powerful 5.0-liter V8 engine. These nostrils are set off by the smoked housing of the standard Mustang Nite Pony headlights. Iconic Silver mirror caps adorn the Race Red, Vapor Blue, and Brittany Blue models, recalling the chrome mirrors of earlier Mustangs, while the Wimbledon White models feature body-color mirror caps for a seamless look. Each limited-edition Mustang also receives a serialized 60th Anniversary instrument panel badge, further solidifying its status as a collector’s item.

The Mustang 60th Anniversary Package isn’t just about eye-catching colors and retro design elements. Ford is also offering 2024 Mustang owners another digital gift in the form of a new gauge cluster design inspired by the 1999-2001 Mustang SVT Cobra. This cluster features classic white dials during the day and transitions to icy blue backlighting at night, adding a nostalgic yet modern touch to the car’s interior. 

This digital cluster is being delivered via an over-the-air software update, following the release of the 1967-1968 gauge cluster on Mustang’s 60th birthday in April. The new cluster will automatically activate at midnight Eastern Time on August 17 for all 2024 Mustang customers who have Automatic Software Updates turned on and scheduled in their Software Updates Settings.

For those attending the 2024 Woodward Dream Cruise, Ford will showcase the limited-edition Brittany Blue Mustang at their Mustang Alley display in Ferndale, Michigan. This event provides fans and potential buyers with a chance to see the car up close and appreciate its blend of classic design and modern performance.
