Ford Sponsors Teams at 2023 Rebelle Rally

Off-road enthusiasts everywhere are watching with excitement as Ford opens its first year as a sponsor of the Rebelle Rally by supporting five different teams for the grueling event. The stakes are high this year as drivers and navigators make their way across the challenging terrain of Nevada and California, attempting to prove not only their own skills but the prowess of the vehicles they drive, including the all-electric Mustang Mach-E Rally, striving to make a name for itself at this competition.

As the first women’s off-road navigation rally raid in the U.S., the Rebelle Rally is a big event for any competitor to have under her belt. Not only is it prestigious in this regard, it’s also a daunting challenge even for experienced off-roaders. Beginning on October 12th and ending on the 21st, each team of a driver and navigator has to make their way over 1,500 miles of course from Mammoth Mountain to the Imperial Sand Dunes in Southern California, camping at night and refraining from using a support crew, cell phones, or GPS devices. It’s a test of skill and mental strength for each member of the competition.

This year’s Ford teams are more than up to the challenge, however, with impressive names and titles to prove their worth. Multi-time Baja 1000 class champion Shelby Hall and five-time Rebelle Rally Competitor Rori Lewis will be partnered together in a Bronco Raptor vehicle, while a second Bronco Raptor will be driven by Rebelle U instructor Laura Wanlass and previous Rebelle competitor Maria Guitar. Two veteran trail guides from the Bronco Off-Roadeo, Jessica Moore and Melissa Clarke, will be competing in a Bronco Sport, and 2022 Rebelle Rally Cross rookies Karisa Haydon and Trista Smith will be driving a Bronco WildTrak. Meanwhile, previous Rebelle Rally winner Kaleigh Miller and King of the Hammers groundbreaker Bailey Campbell will be driving the Mustang Mach-E Rally, showing off the ability of electric vehicles to keep up in an event of this caliber.
